A large firm of Accountants based in Warwickshire is recruiting a number of newly-created positions to cover a large increase in new workload. This expansion of the firm will include the recruitment of a talented Audit Senior to help deliver complete audit assignments to a variety of clients to the sort of standard that has given this firm such a great reputation for excellence throughout Warwickshire. The role: as an Audit Senior, you will be expected to lead audits of a varied portfolio of clients (including groups and international companies) from the planning stage, the fieldwork and supervision of trainees, through to the completion stage. You will also be expected to mentor, train and develop audit trainees on site and in the office through your leadership skills, your effective planning work and your in-depth knowledge of audit. Furthermore you will be the main point of contact for the client throughout the audit, dealing with queries as they arise in a swift, comprehensive and competent manner. The person: ideally ACCA or ACA qualified, you will already have notable experience of auditing a wide variety of clients in your previous audit role. This position may particularly appeal to candidates who have experience at a large firm who are looking for a more senior position within a slightly smaller firm - but one that is large enough to still offer good career prospects and a challenging and suitably varied workload. Senior Production Support Analyst - Investment Banking/Exchange/Connectivity Associate/Assistant Vice President Birmingham Overview: A leading Investment Bank in Birmingham is looking to recruit a senior production support analyst to join their connectivity team which connects the bank to every exchange in which it trades on every location of the world across all asset classes. The team also manages 3 rd part vendor software as well as internally developed software platforms that connect us to the exchanges and allow us to submit trades to those markets, or receive trades from clients of the bank. This position is for an exchange and production management specialist to own the following areas of responsibility: Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for the stability of the trading environment in London, outage management, post deployment checkouts and acting as a senior mentor/provide guidance to more junior members of the team located in the UK. The responsibilities include: Outage Management, detailed troubleshooting, hands on work, escalation to appropriate specialist teams (SAs, Network people, software vendor, exchange) Ensuring that RFB checks are done prior to market open Making sure that post deployment sanity checks are being done by the team Identify root cause for outages and process improvement (write scripts, drive change to ensure outages don't repeat themselves) Coordinate and execute DR tests periodically Point of contact for all internal audit issues related to exchanges and trading systems in their country/region. Who we are looking for We are looking for an experienced qualified actuary to join the expanding PwC Pensions practice as a Senior Manager. The Pensions practice sits within the Human Resource Services (HRS) group. You will be working in partnership with employee covenant advisers, corporate finance specialists, transactions specialists, tax experts, accountants, insolvency specialists, lawyers and HR consultants in other parts of PwC. The pensions team provides specialist advice to trustees and sponsoring employers of occupational pension schemes. The team sits within a multi-disciplinary PwC team covering all aspects of advice relating to occupational pensions, including scheme funding, scheme financing, investment, risk control, liability management and benefit design. The team also gives advice on transactions, international pensions, share schemes and financial reporting. Corporate advice: you will be expected to both support senior members of the team and lead client engagements overseeing the work of more junior colleagues.
