General Summary The Mobility Solutions Design & Engineering Team is a global team responsible for desktop computing, mobile smartphone and tablet solutions. The team is focused on delivering an agile and secure computing architecture, developing innovative client solutions to help improve client productivity and enabling a client environment to support future computing industry trends. We have an excellent opportunity for a keen, enthusiastic and experienced IT engineer/architect to join an established team in a major blue chip technology client based in Middlesex. Job Description The role will be based around evaluating and defining strategies, roadmaps and implementation of new client computing based services and solutions. Working closely with stakeholders across IT and the business, coordinating the team's technology road map and requirements to ensure that implementation efforts are aligned with enterprise-wide strategies and standards. Responsibilities: * Defining client services future roadmaps and strategies around a wide range of technologies and capabilities * Developing technical prototype environments and concepts * Participate in evolving and influencing industry trends, technologies and direction, benchmarking * Evaluating future technologies and interpreting business requirements, strategies and mapping them to IT capabilities * Building business partnerships across the various IT teams, business units, vendors and clients * Ensuring compliance of architecture principles, policies and standards Technical Skills Required: * Strong industry experience with MCSE, or other systems engineering certification * A strong background in several of the following at an architectural level: o Server (Windows Server, Unix, SQL) o Desktop (Windows OS, Active Directory, Mac OSX, Software/Package deployment) o Desktop Virtualisation (VMWare, Citrix) o Device management experience would be valuable (SCCM, Altiris) o Desktop Application Knowledge - Office 2003, 2007 and 2010 o Security o High Availability/Business Continuity (Clustering, Load balancing, failover) o Awareness of systems management and operational support tools * Experience with Mobile Smartphone platforms and working knowledge of internetworking technology (CCNA level preferred) * Ability to drive technology direction, evaluate performance of solutions and identify new technologies that can improve/fill established gap areas Soft Skill Required * Passionate about driving new technology solutions * Good global team player with strong leadership skills * Excellent client focus and client facing skills * Strong analytical and methodical problem solving skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Manage Stakeholder Relationships (e.g. identify and leverage stakeholders; clarify expectations) * Planning & Prioritization - create Roadmap (e.g. identify and prioritize projects and/or tracks of work and translate into integrated delivery schedule and timeline) * Strong documentation capabilities with the ability to write positional papers, white papers, policies, best practises and strategy documents desktop architect mobile smartphone virtualisation citrix sccm

Job Purpose and Summary: The Web Experience Professional, as owner of the Service & Support web strategy, is responsible for the overall customer journey on the Service & Support website pages and constantly strives to further improve that experience while ensuring that it is aligned with the corporate web and channel strategy of Canon. Through analysis of customer usage, market research, generated feedback, benchmarks and industry knowledge, the Web Experience Professional aims to continuously better the customer web experience and to make it best in class. Responsibilities and Tasks: Provide key input into the development of a Services & Support web strategy for our customers, ensuring that it is fully aligned with Canon's overall corporate web strategy. Responsible for the on-going continuous improvement of the Services & Support web areas by using all available performance management & customer feedback data to further optimise our web support presence. Aligns all Services & Support web initiatives with applicable Web functions outside Services & Support ; harmonizes strategy and initiatives with overall Canon Web targets and initiatives Maintains day to day operational responsibility for the Services & Support web pages and overall ownership of the critical operational content management processes and service delivery, even if delivered by other Services & Support staff. Communicates on behalf of Services & Support with regards to web policy and web operations with all interested internal and external parties including Canon Japan, the wider Canon Service & Support community, Sales & Marketing, Corporate Communications and our outsourced Services & Support Contact Centres Provides reports and analysis applicable to the performance Services & Support area - using these to highlight underperforming areas and to provide the support for business cases proposing further improvements. Provides experience and knowledge of industry best practices with regards to the provision of customer web support services Drive the strategic direction and implementation of Services & Support web presence Primary responsibility for compiling and maintaining the Services & Support operating budget for the web area. Adheres to all necessary financial processes and ensures that all necessary billing, internal recharges, cost allocations are handled in a timely manner. Represents Services & Support in all applicable projects relating to the customer web experience and the further development and provision of services. Required Skills and Qualifications: Languages: English written and oral. Experience: Background in Web experience management Able to present the company as the leading edge portal company, with the main focus on User Experience; Familiar with the market, it's competitors and the technology Familiarity with developing and delivering web experience programs and with Canon's information infrastructure is an advantage. Sales and Service Finance Controller - African Continent JOB DESCRIPTION: SSF Controller for African Continent providing finance and business support and advice to African sales organisation. Act as a Trusted Advisor to the Africa Management Team and provide quality financial and business recommendations. Ensures that Fiduciary Control is maintained within the country. Key Responsibilities: - Financial lead for Africa reporting into Emerging Theater SSF Director - Drive profitable growth across the business through financial and business analysis to measure progress and trends and so enable optimal management of the business - Provide critical input and advice into the building of the short and long term Strategy for the region - Ensure effective Governance and Compliance across the region - Leverage off and collaborate with with other functions within the region and theater. - Drive critical operational processes eg forecasting cycles/operational reviews - Lead and/or play a key role in key SSF initiatives on behalf of EMEAR and Emerging SSF functions Detailed Responsibilities include: Cross Functional Act as catalyst between sales teams and multiple support functions to address business needs including: * Non Standard Deals, Commissions, Customer Services, Sales Business processes, Credit and Collection, Legal, Corporate Revenue, FP&A, Accounting, Cisco Capital. Planning & Strategy * Help African management teams build the Three year and the Annual Business Plan. * Budgeting, Goaling simulations and Systems Readiness. * Operations Review Process Support. * Sales Hierarchy and Organization Structure Management.
