We are seeking an IT Support Analyst to provide day to day IT support to ensure effective and efficient operation of the firm's infrastructure. You will be the first point of contact in IT, dealing with first and second line support issues and escalating problems to the IT Manager as necessary. You will support our Wide Area Network, Local Area Networks and Voice networks, the firm's corporate servers and security of corporate data, as well as network peripherals, such as network printers and photocopiers. Essential PC hardware knowledge is required, together with experience of troubleshooting printer and scanner issues and a good understanding and working knowledge of MS Office 2007 and 2010, Windows XP, Vista and 7. We also require good understanding of the importance of backup procedures and compliance issues. Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, User creation, including Mailbox and Blackberry set up, BigHand digital dictation software, Blackberry (End User), CITRIX for WAN remote access and other software packages typically used in a corporate, legal firm environment is desirable, although not essential. The successful candidate will have a relevant computing degree or equivalent and be able to demonstrate experience in a technical ICT role, supporting corporate services and networks. You should be a highly-motivated team player, able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision and to be committed to self-development. You should have strong interpersonal skills and be well-organised with a logical approach to problem-solving and responsible attitude to following procedures and record keeping. Experience of installing hardware and software is required. We offer a salary of 23,000- 25,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus a range of benefits.

A market leading global organisation based in London City requires and Information Security Manager: The Information Security Manager is the process owner for the Information Security Management function, providing management, leadership and strategic direction for the function and liaising closely with other managers. The purpose of the Information Security Management function is to bring the organization's information security risks (customer, employee and business information) under explicit management control through Information Security Management System. Responsibilities * Serves as an internal information security consultant to the organization offering advice and practical assistance on information security risk and control matters and promoting the commercial advantages of managing information security risks more efficiently and effectively * Liaison with and offers strategic direction to related governance functions (such as Physical Security/Facilities, Risk Management/Audit, IT, HR, Legal and Compliance) plus senior and middle managers throughout the organization as necessary, on information security matters such as routine security activities plus emerging security risks and control technologies * Leads the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Information Security Management System based around ISO/IEC 27000 series standards and Data Protection Act 1998, including certification against standards where necessary * Leads the preparation and recommends the implementation of necessary information security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines, in conjunction with IT management/audit functions and reviews these on at least an annual basis * Leads the design and operation of related compliance monitoring and improvement activities to ensure compliance both with internal security policies etc. and applicable laws and regulations * Reviews all system-related security plans throughout the organization's network, acting as a reference for all IT staff * Conducts periodic vulnerability and security risk assessment of the assets of the company. * Leads suitable information security awareness, training and educational activities * Monitors internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained * Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager * Maintains a log of any incidents and remedial recommendations and actions. * Leads or assists activities relating to contingency planning, business continuity management and IT disaster recovery in conjunction with relevant functions and third parties * Establish and maintain a register of data owners for sets of information (e.g. paper files, databases) and educate the data owners on their responsibilities (what is the data, how is it used, who has access to it). * Maintain Risk, Issue and Change registers for information security. * Maintain currency with security and security enhancing technologies and brief colleagues as needed to enable measures to be implemented where and when necessary/desirable. * Provide advice and take action, where necessary, in response to Audit findings and recommendations in respect of information security Key personal characteristics and competencies of the ideal candidate At least 5 years of full-time work experience in information security management and/or related functions (such as IT audit and IT Risk Management) * Information security management qualifications such as CISSP or CISM * Absolutely trustworthy with high standards of personal integrity (demonstrated by an unblemished career history, complete lack of criminal convictions etc.), and willing to undergo vetting and/or personality assessments to verify this if necessary * Typically a background in technical IT roles such as IT architecture, development or operations, with a clear and abiding interest in information security For more information on the company and a detailed job specification please apply now.
