Contrado Imaging Ltd is looking for Web Designer (with some exposure to web development) to join the team to support and develop our growing creative online services and web presence. The job is hands on from designing buttons to planning blog and web look and feel across 6 - 8 sites, graphics preparation and UI customer facing design, including covers for Facebook and other social platforms. Sitting within our development team the digital designer will be working closely with dev team and content editors to produce stunning effective web experiences with a focus on increasing conversion rate of customers through online activities. This Web Designer role is focused on User Interface development so it is important you have HTML coding skills, CSS, Javascript. Flash not required. Some exposure or a desire to improve your ASP.NET, C#, would be useful as would iPad coding in PhoneGap. You must know Photoshop and understand image optimisation for web, and web page performance. Knowledge of image search engine optimisation techniques also important re file naming and alt tags. Experience with Wordpress or other backend CMS useful. In this Web Designer role you must be able to show URLs that you have been heavily involved with and have at least 1.5 to 2 years firm experience. Perfect English essential.
