Area Manager Scotland The Area Manager for Scotland will be responsible for managing the Scottish territory for both our Rehab and our Healthcare divisions. BES is a business selling medical and healthcare products and services to the National Health Service, private organisations, and individuals across the UK and Ireland. The two divisions are split by customer base. Rehab focuses on specialist departments such as wheelchair services, podiatry clinics, special schools, and spinal injury hospitals, while Healthcare focuses on the community side of the healthcare market e.g. care homes, GPs, and equipment loan stores. The job involves educating customers about the principles behind what we sell, assisting customers with assessing and prescribing our equipment, and working at all levels within the customers' organisation to ensure strong sales of our products. The Area Manager is responsible for arranging and managing all their own appointments. A key aspect of the role is seeking out, managing, and maintaining new and existing sales opportunities. The most frequent activities are: product demonstrations, fittings and assessments, meetings with managers, training courses/seminars, and preparing quotations. We are looking for an Area Manager who has good self-discipline and can work well on their own. You will need the self-confidence to be able to present yourself in front of customers. A high level of both computer and English literacy is essential. Due to the nature of the territory you will need to be willing to travel a great deal, work flexibly, and often be away from home. We are looking for a candidate with a degree, preferably in a health or business discipline, but others will be considered.
