What You'll Be Doing For our customer In this role, you will have daily involvement in selling ski holidays and products from our entire product range, delighting customers by anticipating and understanding their every holiday desire. You will be attentive and confident with customers, both face-to-face and over the telephone, and be able to quickly build rapport whilst adapting the sales framework to meet their individual needs. What You'll Be Doing * Monitor Foreign Office Travel Advice, weather conditions and other operational factors that affect travellers in liaison with TUI Duty Office to ensure that we are coinciding with group policy on any operational issues and that we are working together effectively. * Co-ordinate and implement company emergency crisis procedures in the event of a force majeure. * Ensure that all post booking, pre-departure and in resort operational and administrative issues are dealt with in a seamless, efficient and customer focused manner, and that all clients enjoy problem free travel arrangements in relation to the administration of their booking and their holiday requirements. Investigate any instances where this appears not to have occurred to prevent further reoccurrence. * Liaise with both overseas and UK suppliers and staff to resolve any operational issues which clients may have whilst in resort by coordinating resources in the UK and then providing a cost effective and customer focused solution taking into consideration our conditions of booking. * Ensure all in resort issues are resolved in resort to prevent them complaining on their return * Ensure that all customer contacts are handled quickly, efficiently, in accordance with the high standards of customer care that the company aims to offer. * Log all issues accurately and consistently in our in house reporting system- crisys * To meet output targets * To investigate & resolve complaints received from customers in relation to pre-departure confirmed bookings * To provide feedback to source of complaint for all brands, highlighting any issues for concern and any possible areas for improvement. * Liaise with other internal departments and all levels of management regarding any trends, quality issues or areas of concerns to ensure that these are acted upon where necessary. * Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures * Maintain and be able to demonstrate a thorough level of product, system and company knowledge at all times * Attend company training sessions and familiarisation visits when required * Forge effective working relationships with fellow UKISD staff members, other staff within the TUI Group and suppliers. * Provide suppliers and UKISD resort offices with client details to ensure provision of all stages of clients holiday itinerary to include, manifests and rooming lists * Ensure the delivery of late bookings details to UK and overseas representatives and airlines * Manage GSD Airline Queues * Suggest improvements and change to meet the business needs. The purpose of this role is to handle and settle customer complaints to minimise complaint costs, whilst achieving maximum customer satisfaction and retention within the UKSD businesses. Participate in and support the quality adherence process to ensure that causes for complaint are resolved and not repeated. What You'll Be Doing * To thoroughly investigate, document and respond to complaints within deadlines set by UKISD and by external authorities with a view to achieving customer satisfaction and meeting the needs of the business. * To meet output targets. * To meet method of response targets. * To be responsible for the highest standards of accuracy and presentation in both written and verbal communications. * To liaise with suppliers and internal departments to maximise the recovery of compensation and provide information for the Quality Assurance process. * To meet recovery targets. * To meet method of payment targets. * To assist when requested in the preparation of monthly, yearly and ad hoc reports and database management to ensure costs and results are monitored. * To identify Health and Safety/liability/legal issues within complaint/resort correspondence and to escalate these appropriately and to supply the necessary information to legal services when requested. * To uphold complete confidentiality at all times. * To attend training sessions and carry out occasional overseas inspections/educational visits. * Gain knowledge of the current Issue Management System and maintain the integrity of the information that is entered. * To maintain professional working relationships with all business contacts in a problem-solving environment. * To provide feedback to source of complaint for all brands, highlighting any issues for concern and any possible areas for improvement. * To answer or return incoming phone calls and/or emails in accordance with company policy. * To help out with ad-hoc projects as requested and as time allows. * To perform all tasks using the highest level of the appropriate Tui Winning Behaviours. What We're Looking For Essential: The successful candidate will: * Have at least 12 months work experience dealing with customer complaints * Have previous experience of taking ownership of, dealing with and resolving complex customer issues to the mutual benefit of the customer and the business * Be able to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions effectively * Be highly organised and able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail * Be able to work alone using their initiative, as well as being able to work as part of a team * Be able to work under pressure and to targets whilst showing accurate grammar and numerical skills * Have a professional telephone manner * Have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Word is essential, and familiarity with Excel, Travelink and Crisys systems would be an advantage Desirable: * Experience working in the travel industry within a Customer Relations environment would be beneficial but not essential Other Information: This is a key role in ensuring that clients' queries and complaints are resolved to the mutual benefit of the customer and the business and that information is provided to ensure complaints are minimised and the quality of the product is upheld. This role reports to the Customer Relations Supervisor.
