4-month Ecommerce / Online Marketing Internship Department: Mirror Digital (Reader Offers) Duration: 4 months, full-time, immediate start Compensation: commuting expenses refunded Profile * . Help with the management of the MirrorReaderOffers website on a day-to-day basis, including: * . Updating online content to reflect latest offers in paper * . Reviewing latest offers uploaded by suppliers before sending them live (ensuring quality and SEO-friendliness of copy) * . Reviewing product pages and url tracking ahead of publication of offers in paper * . Liaising with suppliers for on-going optimisation of live copy for SEO purposes * . Sorting out customer reviews and send them live as applicable * 2. Help with the implementation of customer acquisition marketing strategy, including: * . Liaising with our SEO and PPC agencies: ensuring consistency of strategy with our positioning, objectives, and seasonal trends; monitoring revenue and ROI from search marketing * . Coordinating schedule and choice of products for print offers ("web drivers") in the Mirror, based on past offers' performance and online trends * . Supervising the creation of banners / content to go on our the Mirror website * 3. Help with the implementation of customer retention marketing strategy, including: * . At A Glance Based in Surbiton. We are currently recruiting a Front End Developer for the Specialist Holiday Group sector. SHG is part of TUI Travel PLC Specialist & Activity Sector. Involved in a range of e-commerce projects and activity, the Front End Developer is responsible for producing front-end code to deliver day-to-day web merchandising, content updates and enhancements across the Specialist websites. The web channel is a strategically critical route to market and the Web Sales & Operations teams within each location both play a central role as a driver of business success. What You'll Be Doing 1. Planning & Delivery * Be accountable for time estimates for development work and ensure that work is completed on time. * Manage own workload within a project. * Take a proactive role in identifying and resolving technical and functional errors across all sites * Escalate any requirements that become undeliverable due to changes in scope, resource or cost parameters 2. Developments * Take requirements from within the business for new or changing functionality on the site. * Translate Photoshop designs, producing highly usable, standards compliant and progressively enhanced XHTML/CSS templates and pages. * Work on day-to-day updates to the sites that involve simple graphics work and changes to existing code, taking a steer from the existing site design. * Deliver of on-site promotions, online marketing campaigns and merchandising. * Implement non-geographic published content (e.g. Sales Centre phone numbers, booking T&Cs) * Support the Sales Centre and Trade teams in answering day to day web queries * Support the UX team in developing the front-end for large-scale projects and site redesigns. * Adhere to department standards on code, environment configuration management, project lifecycle, and release procedures. * Ensure developments work across all supported browsers. * Work closely with the Online Marketing ream to ensure all relevant SEO, PPC and analytics requirements are built in from day one. * Maintain a highly organised level of working standard - adhering to our working practices and helping us to develop them to become more efficient and effective. 3. Benchmarking * Regularly monitor developments in E-Commerce, web interactivity and competitor websites and recommend enhancements to TUI Travel's Web Platform * Build your own knowledge of latest web technologies and user centred design through online and offline reading, attending events and sharing knowledge with the other web teams around the business * Transfer knowledge across brands and initiatives. At A Glance Based in High Wycombe We are currently recruiting a Marketing & Ecommerce Manager for our World Challenge business. World Challenge is part of the Education Division of the TUI Travel PLC Specialist & Activity Sector. World Challenge Expeditions are the world leaders in the provision of schools expeditions. Founded in 1987 WCE are not only the original expeditions company, but they created the expedition 'blueprint', a two year programme during which students work as a team to plan, organise and train for their trip of a lifetime. Each student is encouraged to personally raise the funds necessary to cover the costs of the 4 week trip, just as most expeditions rely on fundraising campaigns. WCE works with schools worldwide and has offices across Europe, Australasia, North America and the UAE working with students and schools to deliver 657 expeditions during 2012. This senior role reporting directly into the Group MD based at High Wycombe will be responsible for developing and implementing the core communication strategy in support of the UK sales efforts and crucially reducing churn amongst Challengers (currently running at 25%). The successful candidate will have significant & relevant marketing experience, especially 'hands - on' practical knowledge of Ecommerce strategy and online communications. They will be responsible for directing the efforts and energy of a team of 3 staff who between them have a broad range of marketing, research and web based skills. WCE is a global business with bases across 4 continents but few marketing staff. Consequently this person will need to be collaborative and support the international markets. What You'll Be Doing As a global brand, maintaining consistency of message is essential. Students, parents and teachers communicate globally through Facebook and social media channels. In addition, WCE's very own My World Challenge portal is a complete source of information for all expeditions. WCE's Marketing Manager is charged with developing the digital network and communications platform to ensure that the WCE brand has online prominence whilst also ensuring that all communications remain on message and consistent across all markets.
