Offshore EX Motor Technician Aberdeen Sulzer Dowding & Mills are a global leader in the repair and maintenance of high voltage electrical motors and generators, and related services across several industries. As part of our continued and impressive growth, we are currently recruiting for an Offshore EX Motor Technician who will be based from our Aberdeen site but work mostly offshore. Reporting to the Offshore Project Manager, the scope of the position will include but not be limited to:- - Mobilise to offshore locations as directed by the Project Team - Carry out your duties in a safe and professional manner at all times - Be familiar with "EX" motor concepts - Be aware of the requirements for "EX" motor repairs in an offshore location - Write job reports as directed by the Project team - Be available for work at all times except when on allowable leave breaks or field breaks as directed by the project team - Work as a team member when mobilised as part of a larger work-scope Applicants will be expected to fulfil the following:- - Knowledge of "EX" relevant standards and practices for explosion protected equipment EEXd, EExe, EExp, EExn - Familiarity with EX Motor concepts - Electrical / Electric Motor Workshop apprenticeship completed - Current CompEx Certification - A completed AEMT or similar EX training course - Valid Offshore Survival Certificate - Valid Offshore Medical Certificate - Must have completed MIST Training - Time served Electrical Engineer with valid certification and references - Hold good competency in Word, Excel packages This is an exciting opportunity to work with a market leading organisation during a period of growth.
