Embassy Summer is part of Study Group, a world leader in the provision of integrated educational packages. We have over 30 years experience in the field of English language provision and we are one of the UK's largest British Council accredited providers of EFL. Our Courses Students who attend our summer school courses receive a combination of English language tuition (15 hours per week) and a comprehensive programme of activities and excursions. In full day teaching centres, students may have their lessons in the mornings or the afternoons. In half day teaching centres, lessons will take place in the morning. The activity programme will include daytime and evening activities and at least one half day and one full day excursion per week to local attractions and popular tourist locations. The Working Week Teachers work 13 sessions out of a maximum of 23 sessions per week, with at least one full day off per week. Embassy Summer schools have either a full day or a half day teaching timetable. Teachers who work on a full day teaching timetable will be required to teach 10 sessions (five mornings and five afternoons, normally Monday to Friday) plus 1 residential session (made up of 4 x 45 minute duties). In view of the amount of teaching involved on the full day teaching timetable, the sixth day is for lesson preparation and this consists of 2 sessions. Teachers who work on a half day teaching timetable teach 5 sessions. The remaining 6 sessions will normally be made up through participation of on-site and off-site activities and excursions. 1 session is for lesson and materials preparation, and the 13th session (made up of 4 x 45 minute duties) will be for residential duties. Non-residential staff will not be required to carry out night duties. Please look at the programme specific to your centre as in some centres, teaching may take place at the weekend. Working week: Teachers work 13 sessions per week (based on 42 hours per week) Reports to: The Director of Studies and the Activity Manager Qualifications: First Degree or equivalent (Level 6 National Qualification Framework) CELTA, Trinity Cert. Watersports Instructor in Greece or Turkey. Whether you love that feeling of planing out of a carve gybe or hanging out on a wire, the passion you show for the sport you teach is key. As a qualified RYA Watersports Instructor you will work within a close team to deliver an activity programme to adults and children both on and off the water following the RYA syllabus. The Watersports Instructor role is often a physically demanding and involves carrying, rigging and lifting. You will rotate responsibilities of instructing, safety cover, working the beach, being on rescue, and facilitating children's clubs throughout the day. We are really hot on getting our children's clubs out on the water having fun so part of the Watersports Instructor role will be to actively help organise and run activities for children over 5 years. When the weather is bad and people are not able to go out on the water you will need to help create alternative activities and entertainment to amuse the guests. This is a hugely rewarding role whether you are teaching a beginner dinghy group to successfully navigate around a triangular course, or get a group of intermediate windsurfers planing, there is no doubt you will get a great amount of personal satisfaction seeing your guests achieve their goals. If you would like to apply for a Watersports Instructor position will need to have a minimum of an RYA instructors qualification in either Dinghy sailing or Windsurfing and hold a first aid certificate. You will also need to have an approachable and friendly attitude, ability to work well within a team, and be willing to assist in any other duties if necessary.
