SCHOOL NURSE INSTITUT LE ROSEY, SWITZERLAND This is a full-time residential post on the girls' campus (about 170 girls) of a successful international boarding school providing courses for students from around the world aged 8-18, culminating in the French or International Baccalaureates. The school offers outstanding facilities on two campuses, near Lake Geneva in autumn and spring/summer, and in Gstaad in the winter. The School Nurse works as one of a team of two, reporting to the Director of Girls' Boarding and liaises with other school nurses and local doctors so as to provide the highest possible standard of medical care for students. The successful candidate will: * Staff weekday and weekend surgeries for students on a rota basis - mornings/evenings * Attend to students who are sick in the infirmary * Administer medication * Assist with new student medicals * Maintain medical database and written records * Report accidents/incidents * Arrange appointments for students at the local surgery, hospital and dentists, and organizing or providing transportation of students * Assist with purchasing/stock control of medical supplies * Be on-call at night to respond to emergencies on rota basis * Excuse students from sports * Be in contact with parents for any/all medical purposes * Be responsible for the infirmary- making sure cleaned, sheets changed etc. * Upon request from Directors, test urine for foreign substances, and administer alcohol tests * Check the billing process for medicines, appointments, and transportation. They must be able to be reached at any moment, day or night, and will be given a mobile phone for this purpose. * When absent from the infirmary, the nurse must have a mobile phone to receive calls. * As the nurse is a part of the school staff, he/she is responsible for following and enforcing the school rules as written in the "Codes" * The nurse must keep confidential any medical secrets; however, he/she must divulge any medical secrets to the General Director, Headmaster and the Director of Boarding who officially represent the parents. It is his/her duty to inform them in case of serious problems. * Preference will be given to candidates with ability to communicate in English and French. * The nurse also has a role in promoting in the health and hygiene education of students in areas such as sleep, eating and dental hygiene. The International Bar Association's Legal Projects Team works to create strategies and initiatives aimed at addressing some of the most pressing concerns faced by the global legal profession. Key Accountabilities: Middle East Representing the IBA for the Middle East, manage the IBA's programmes, initiatives and membership activity for the Middle East Region building awareness of the IBA in the region. Assist with holding local and regional events that will highlight the IBA's presence in the region; making contact with lawyers, legal organisations and government bodies. Develop, organise and implement local and regional legal programmes/events together with Middle Eastern lawyers and members of the IBA from other jurisdictions to discuss timely and cutting edge issues, including high profile events or training programmes with government organisations, such as the Ministry of Justice - with the objective of developing individual and group membership in the UAE and across the Middle East. Keep abreast of local and regional developments by reading relevant journals etc and holding discussions with local members and the wider legal profession with a view to identifying topical conferences and other events.
