RAW Adventure camps run outdoor adventure courses to teach children basic survival skills like fire building and shelter construction and other skills such as team building. We are looking for enthusiastic people to join the team as Group Leaders / Activity Instructors. Permanent employment Your initial contract at Robinwood will be for approximately 10 months, depending on your start date. A reasonable workload Within the outdoor industry, people can typically work long hours with limited days off. We aim to offer a reasonable working week so that staff can do a great job but still have a reasonable work life balance. Obviously we have busy weeks, but over the course of a season staff work an average of 35 hours per week and get an average of 3 days off per week. Our staff work a maximum of 48 hours in any week and get at least two days off every week. Competitive wages Everyone at Robinwood is paid at least the full adult rate of the national minimum wage. There are numerous ways to increase your hourly rate while working at Robinwood as we pay increments to all staff to recognise experience, qualifications and length of service. As a group leader you will work an intensive three day period and have the chance to really get to know your group. The teachers like it, the Robinwood staff like it and the children like it. Bonus payments At the end of each season (i.e. 3 times a year) we pay thousands of pounds in performance related bonuses to all our centre based staff.
